Our Story
Life on Wheels Mosoriot was founded by members of the Mosoriot community in the diaspora who recognized a critical gap in access to emergency healthcare. Too often, medical emergencies were worsened by delays caused by lack of reliable transport, high costs, or long distances to health facilities.
Motivated by compassion and a strong desire to give back to the community, the team came together to establish Life on Wheels Mosoriot – an initiative built on solidarity, service, and the belief that every life matters. Life on Wheels Mosoriot is supported by members of the Mosoriot community both at home and in the diaspora, united by a shared commitment to saving lives and strengthening access to emergency healthcare.
Reality in Mosoriot
-
Over 90% of community members are unaware that emergency help exists or how to access it
-
Emergency response is often delayed or unavailable due to limited resources
-
Only a few ambulances serve a large population of Mosoriot and surrounding areas
-
Those with cars or money reach hospitals faster as they are able to arrange alternative transportation
-
Vulnerable families depend on goodwill that is not always available, especially at night
This reality puts lives at risk and creates inequality during emergencies.
The gaps we are addressing
The biggest gap is not only the lack of ambulances, but the lack of awareness, coordination, and reliable emergency response.
Emergencies should not depend on luck, wealth, or personal connections to those who have alternative options.
Life on Wheels exists to create a fair, trusted, and coordinated community emergency response system.
